NorthernNdebele.blogspot.com is a community website started in 2012, for those who wish to learn, or help others learn, the isiNdebele language. The aim is to give an introduction to the isiNdebele language, and to be a place where the community can ask and answer questions. Volunteers from northernndebele.blogspot.com have written 2 Northern Ndebele phrasebooks, to increase the written offerings of isiNdebele literature. Our email is northernndebeleblog at gmail.com .

  1. Great effort to teach potential learners despite quite numbers of wrong definitions & poor spellings. Sometimes these things need to be approved by not just any but certified person in Ndebele literature/

  4. Lamuhla bengixoxa lomngane wami ovela eKenya. Besifuna ukubona ukuthi isiNdebele sifanana kangakanani leSiSwahili. Sithe lapha sibala, kusukela ku-1 kusiya ku-10, sathola ukuthi kulokuvumelana kusiya ku-5, lo-10.
Udubo lube khona ngoba umngane wami usekhohliwe ukuthi 'inombolo' yiziphi phakathi kuka 6 lo 10!
Thina okwamanje sihlala eNgilandi. Mina sengileminyaka engamatshumi amathathu ngingapha!
Kuhle kakhulu ukubona umsebenzi omangalisayo eliwenzayo lapha ku-website! Liqhubekele phambili sibili! Kuyabongeka kakhulukazi, ngoba lakhona eZimbabwe isiNdebele sakhona sesahlanganiswa lezinye izinlimi ('lamanye amalimi' - kasise yiso bakithi. Ngangesabe ukuthi sisatshabala isiNdebele. INkosi iphathise!

  5. It's so difficult to find Ndebele materials, how far would one get learning Zulu instead? Are there enough similarities to become conversational in Ndebele?
Also, what is the test to know if someone is Northern or Southern Ndebele?
