IsiNdebele (or Northern Ndebele), is mainly spoken by people in Southern Africa. It is a "bantu" language, so knowing isiNdebele will help you to speak many other African languages like isiZulu, isiXhosa, chiShona, kiSwahili, chiNyanja/chiChewa, seSotho etc. This is very useful for someone living or moving through Africa. There are many isiNdebele speakers living in the diaspora in countries out of Africa, and by speaking isiNdebele to them, you will be reminding them of their homes and will probably make them very happy. The majority of isiNdebele speakers can be found in:
Zimbabwe's Matabeleland and Midlands provinces, such as in the city of Bulawayo, often called "Blues", or "The City of Kings" due to it's rich history
Botswana, especially in the Eastern regions
South Africa- especially in Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Gauteng and KZN provinces
Zambia, especially in the South
as well as Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland and Mozambique.
